Lindsey developed a passion for treating musculoskeletal and sporting injuries during her time competing for Team GB in ice dance. She had taken up Pilates as a form of conditioning and was amazed at how it helped her lower back
- and her power!
Lindsey graduated from the University of Salford in 2011 with a BSc in Sport Rehabilitation and a post-graduate qualification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She then
completed her mat and equipment Pilates teacher training with the Australian Physio and Pilates Institute (APPI).
During her degree she gained experience in both the UK and the USA with Northern Ballet Theatre, Macclesfield Rugby Club and Olympic Medal Team GB Swimmers among others! Lindsey has practised in many settings; private clinics, Defence Medical Services and with professional and amateur dancers and athletes.
Lindsey started sub-specialising in women’s health and ante– and
postnatal care in 2013. She’s trained with women’s health specialists and uro-gynaecologists in the treatment of diastasis recti (abdominal separation) and pelvic floor conditions such as prolapse and urinary incontinence.
Lindsey opened Clinic Equilibrium in 2015, with Elite Physio and Therapy opening less than two years later. Lindsey has the first UK VESy lab with EMG screening to look for conditions of the pelvic floor. She also offers an array of sports screening.
